4/10/20 - Tre Ore Service

The service will be from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. It is a 3-hour service during the hours of darkness when Jesus hung on the cross. The Chief Service for Good Friday will be at 6:45pm and will be in a separate post.

Download the liturgy (including the sermon texts) here.

Every year we donate the offerings received at this service to a worthy cause. This year we have chosen The Siberian Lutheran Mission Society (https://siberianlutheranmissions.org/). If you would like to donate to them through Mount Calvary, please make a check out to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, put “Siberia” in the memo, and mail/bring it to us. Thank you.

Pastor Wurm’s study on Luther’s Large Catechism focuses this week on baptism. You can read this section of Luther’s Large Catechism here, For a version with more updated language in PDF form, go here.

Parents, see this post about a great resource to help you teach your kids the faith in the coming weeks. In addition, the Board of Education will be sending out the rest of this semester’s Sunday school lessons for you to teach your kids at home.
